Venice briccole furniture
Venice briccole are those wooden poles you can see emerging from the waters in Venice, their traditional function is to work as reference points for navigation showing the depth of the water during low tides. Usually after 5-10 years spent in water the Venice briccole are replaced with new ones, on their surface they show what can be considered small works of art left by shellfishes consisting in small holes with regular shapes.
Bringing the disposed Venice briccole back to life is not only a simple project of reuse design but it is a way to pass down to the next generations an important cultural heritage of this city.
